The thought of selling
my house scared me to death. It was my first big accomplishment
after my divorce and I didn't want to sell not only because
of the security and sentimental ties but because I did
not know the first thing about it. Where do you start?
Who do you trust? What do you do to prepare for the sale?
Plus, I had held on to it for two years after I had remarried
and moved 1200 miles away to Arkansas, I knew no one
to call or trust but more than that I knew how hard I
was to please.
Coincidentally or because of my faith in God that he would open the right doors
and close the wrong ones I received a flier, as an owner of a condo at the Pointe
Tapatio, from Maureen Karpinski @ Cactus Country Property Professionals. She
had sold homes in my area and was just letting me and others in the area know
she was available if we ever wanted to sell ours. I liked her method of advertising,
I loved her confidence and ambition and thought if I am going to do this I need
to do it now so I contacted her by e-mail.
Instantly I felt as if I had always known her and that I was her only homeowner.
She communicated daily, assured me I had nothing to worry about and that she
would take care of all that needed done with my best interest at heart. Every
question was answered in a more than acceptable time frame, every request was
met in a very timely manner. Maureen managed to have repairs done as well as
the cleaning and finishing touches needed to put my home on the market.
I had a time goal in my mind that included months and in less than a week the
house was ready for an open house. Oddly enough I felt no anxious nerves
or worries because by that time there was not a doubt she cared and was in
full control. Open house was on the 20th of the month, the house sold in
three days on the 23rd and closed in 10 on the 30th. When I arrived home
from work on the 31st Fed Ex was just pulling up to the house and handed
me a check for the sale of the house I was so worried would be a hassle trying
to sell from so far away. No problems, no hitches, no worries or frustrations
plus got the price we wanted and a check in the hand just 11 days after the
process began. What was the greatest was I never had to leave my home or
change my schedule to be in Phoenix for any of the things needed including
the closing. Everything was done if not by e-mail and fax then by mail. It
was great!!
Would I ever sell another home? Yes, if Cactus Country Properties and Maureen
would sell it for me. Would I ever buy another home? You bet, but not without
Maureen. Something I was sure would be a real frustrating and draining task
ended up being one of the easiest and most pleasant ordeals I had ever faced
thanks to Cactus Country Properties in Phoenix, Arizona.
